The body wracking coughs that come with long term smoking are unhealthy, unpleasant and unattractive. They are also a sure sign of unhealthy lungs that are being destroyed by cigarette smoke and all the tar and other stuff that clogs up your lungs making breathing more difficult and of course initiating that awful smokers cough.

Quitting smoking may seem like the answer if you are worried about the health of your lungs and your overall health as well but many people worry that it may be too late and that they have done permanent damage to themselves and give up on the idea of quitting smoking or helping save their lungs. This is a shame because even if you double over coughing every few minutes and can hardly seem to go a few hours without lighting up another cigarette there is hope for you as it is never too late to quit smoking cigarettes or to detox your lungs!

Firstly, many people may wonder what a lung detox is as it can sound rather odd as it does not have as much exposure as other detoxification for the liver or bowels or other organs that many diets are linked to. Basically this is a way to speed up the cleaning out of your lungs of all the gunk and filth accumulated from years of smoking by a combination of exercise, dietary changes and vitamins. Lungs do clean themselves out over time once you stop smoking as well but this is usually a long process that can take up to 15 years in a set of very unhealthy lungs where a lung detox may reduce that to a year or so!

The quitting smoking reverse effects on lungs are there if you do not do anything other than quit but the toxins will remain for a lot longer without the aid of the aforementioned detoxification and work in the same way just slower as the body slowly but steadily dissipates the toxins through your internal processes that break down poisons and similar things. With this in mind there is also a secondary benefit from a lung detox that aids with quitting smoking!

Many people who have undergone a lung detoxification process find quitting smoking a lot easier because as their lungs becomes cleaner the body actually becomes quit averse top cigarette smoke, tar and nicotine as the respitory system once again remembers that these things are not just normal items to be found in your lungs but are foreign invaders! This causes many people to feel physically sick from smoking and the reaction from smoking cigarettes becomes so negative it will make quitting all the easier.

This of course is not the only thing you need to quit smoking cigarettes though but the reverse effects on lungs will make it easier to approach the psychological addiction that may have formed from the long years of habitual smoking that ingrain the action of smoking and the comfort of even of just holding one. This dependance on a behavior rather than just a chemical like nicotine confuse the issue further and make people often blame the cigarette for more than its fair share of the blame.

You also need to look at yourself and why you feel the need to smoke beyond the physical cravings that only last for a few days, after that it is more your own mind fighting its own demons which it can lose and before you know it another cancer stick is slipping between your teeth.

“A lung detox?” my friend Terry asked with a raised eyebrow and an air of skepticism.

“That’s right a lung detox, they have a detox for the liver and every other part of the body, why not the lungs?” I replied.

“Because, I don’t know, it just seems silly and I really don’t see how it can help me stop smoking. Wont being free of all that tar mean I can enjoy my cigarettes even more?”

I understand what Terry was trying to say, it seems ridiculous that cleaner lungs equates to quitting cigarettes but what he believed about enjoying cigarettes more is actually the exact opposite of what really happens!

People who have done a lung detox, apart from all the health benefits that it gives you, also report feeling repelled and disgusted by cigarette smoke as their body actually rejects the impurities that before it simply had to put up with because there was so much of it just lodged there in the lungs slowly choking it to death.

Not only this but by getting rid of that tar and gunk you also flush out remaining nicotine and impurities that make the cravings worse making a lung detox and amazing help in tackling the physical part of nicotine addiction giving you the time and energy to fight the psychological addiction most smokers have with cigarettes which requires willpower and introspection more than clean lungs.

So how does a lung detoxification program work? Basically through exercises of the body and specific lung exercises along with diet changes and a few almost unknown vitamins you can start breaking up the tar and flushing out the toxins and impurities through a rapidly accelerated natural cleansing process of the body.

If you would like to know more about a lung detox and how it can help stave off lung cancer, help your breathe easier and of course help you overcome your smoking problems click below to find out exactly how you can cleanse your lungs!

Many smokers who want to quit are overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options that are thrown at them from nicotine patches & gum to hypnotherapy and more! Cleansing your lungs may seem like just another odd home remedy which can seem old fashioned compared to expensive laser surgery and other more modern methods and while this is something you can do at home it is certainly not lacking in effect!

Not only does having a healthy set of lungs give you many health and well being benefits such as:

  • Less chance of lung cancer
  • Easier breathing
  • Get rid of smoker’s coughs
  • Better Cardio
  • Better blood circulation and more

Cleansing your lungs will also actually make you dislike cigarette smoke making it repellant to you rather than something you want and crave. This is because once you have cleaned out the tar buildups which also contain nicotine that continues to feed into your blood your body no longer tolerates such toxins whereas before it had to.

This will not happen overnight and will not completely overcome the psychological addiction of cigarettes which is where most people actually fail because they are so focused on nicotine withdrawals and cravings they forget to look at the mental side of addiction. However with a body free of the physical problems leaves you with the willpower, time and energy to focus on that part which is a big bonus.

Now, the average smoker takes about 15-20 years to finally rid their lungs of all the impurities which is a long time but cleansing your lungs with proper lung exercises, vitamins and diet changes can reduce this to less than a year if done correctly.

So, to find out how you can stave off lung cancer, shortness of breath and have your body fight for you rather than against you when quitting click below for more lung detox information.

Lung Exercises may seem like an odd thing to you when it comes to quitting smoking but when your smoking cough starts playing up and you feel your breath is shallower than it used to be then at least the idea it will help your health is reasonable.

Cleaner lungs will help you quit smoking as well because once your lungs are clean your body is no longer used to the toxins and tar of cigarettes and actually makes cigarette smoke repellant to you.

In short lung exercises will make you healthier and make enjoying cigarettes impossible aiding your quitting efforts!

Now this may all sound rather far fetched to many people and the truth is that you cannot achieve this with JUST lung exercises. A regime of treatments called a lung detox can give you the full benefit if healthy lungs and all the positives that come with that including:

  • Aversion to Cigarette smoke
  • Easier breathing
  • Decrease chance of lung cancer
  • Eliminate the ‘smokers hack’
  • More energy
  • Better blood circulation
  • and more

The lungs are such a vital part of the body and effects so many other parts the negatives of having lungs clogged with tar are quite horrendous. To start with though, simple lung exercises can really help.

Try standing in a relaxed position with your hands at your side and breathe in and out through your nose normally for a while. Then take a deep breath and exhale through your mouth slowly until you have nothing left in your lungs or so it feels. This is not the end though because there is still stale air left that you need to get out.

Next force your diaphragm to expel the last bits of air by compressing your lower lung muscles and making a “hah, hah, hah” sounds with short intakes pf breathe and forceful expulsion of breath. Do not do this too long if you feel light headed but when you feel you have expelled all you can stand up straight and breathe air slowly back into your lungs through your nose.

Try this several times a day and you can be on your way to better lungs, but if you really want to take charge of your health and cigarette smoking then you need more than lung exercises, you need to know the full secrets of a lung detox. Click below to find out more.

Have you ever wondered at the state of your lungs after your years of smoking? We all see the pictures of terrible diseased looking lungs and yet we continue to smoke until some spark sets your mind to quitting and even still we think about all the other aspects of quitting but not the health of our lungs it seems. Cleaning out your lungs may seem like the last thing on your mind (or not even there if you think it was not possible) but what if your attempt to quit smoking cigarettes and better lung health are entwined and rely on each other?

This is the case because cleaning out your lungs is not only good for your health but will actually make you not WANT to smoke again!

A quick fact: It takes the average long term smoker about 15 to 20 for their lungs to detoxify themselves and become relatively healthy which is a heck of a long time for you to be breathing through an organ choked with tar and noxious substances.

If you take active steps to detox and clean out your lungs then you can reduce that dramatically down to less than one year with the right culmination of lung exercises, diet changes, cardio exercise and knowing certain vitamins that actively work against the tar and toxins in your lungs.

How does this help me quit smoking though?

The advantage to having cleaner healthier lungs beyond the obvious benefits of being able to breathe easier and have les chance of lung cancer is that with a cleaner set of lungs your body is once again repelled by the toxins and irritants in cigarette smoke that it had become accustomed to. People who have cleaned out their lungs have described feeling sickened at the smell of cigarette smoke after a few months and never felt the urge to smoking again because to their body it was not enjoyable anymore.

Fighting porn addiction can seem like a battle with your own libido especially if you have been masturbating to online pornography for a long time for a number of reasons:

  • Anything done for a long time becomes a habit that can be so ingrained into your lifestyle it is hard to shake.

  • You have trained your body to expect sexual reward and the lack of such a reward becomes like a physical craving.
  • Ease of access means that relief to your frustrations and cravings is so easy to satisfy many continue to give in and do not gain addiction recovery.
  • Help is hard to come by because the subject is so taboo with most people making this a very lonely addiction.

So what can you do to fight porn addiction and come out on top and in control of your life and sexuality?

One such method that may help is to find a way to refocus your sexual energy. It is too easy to simply say i will do something else when i feel the need to pop online to view pornography but it is a part of the puzzle. The real results come from changing your mental addiction triggers to be positive rather than negative (being excessive porn and masturbation). When you discover what triggers your episodes online find something you can do to take your mind off it and stick to that, write it down and make it a new habit. It could be that you are depressed or sad which would require something targeting that particular trigger. It may be that you have sexually frustrating relationship issues which would require an approach aimed at solving that problem. One of the biggest problems though is boredom for many people and when online it is such an easy way to spend time despite the problems with sexuality that porn is known to cause .. if this is the case the best way to start changing this is to find a non-computer based alternative to relieve boredom because any association with the PC and the internet can easily lead down the path of addiction again.

For more information on fighting porn addiction for yourself or if you know someone who is addicted click below to find the answers you need to end your addiction and be unchained, free and happier with yourself and your sexual life without having to go to sex addiction counseling

Do you know why quitting cigarette smoking is hard? Have you wondered why so many people try and try again and fail every time? Do you wonder how the people who do quit know how to stop the habit of smoking with such ease?

The answer is not just motivation, not just willpower and it is certainly not all the smoking cessation aides you can buy to help with cravings though they do have an effect.

The answer is that to stop the habit of smoking you need to think, and believe that you do not want to smoke and that you are a non-smoker to the core.

You must develop a non-smokers mindset rather than a smoker looking to quit mindset because that is fraught with frustration and hardship compared to the positive healthy outlook of a non-smokers.

I know, this sounds trite and all too easy to say comparing with actually doing it but if you ask many ex-smokers who have no more urges to smoke they will talk of a change of how they think more than simply not smoking because the absence of something is not a cure, just a gaping hole that needs to be filled with something before you relapse or it fill with something worse.

So how can you develop this mindset when all you can think of is smoking and the cravings hit with a fury and force like a hurricane driving you reluctantly to pick up another cigarette? If you want to take the first step do these few things:

  • set a quit date and stick to it, write it down and post it where you can see it and tell everyone you know that date!

  • Repeat to yourself every day ‘I want to be healthy, happy and smoke free!’ because this ingrains positive reasons into your subconscious to be a non-smoker
  • reward yourself every day you do not smoke with something small and revel in every success and forget every failure because they do not matter in the long run!

Any addiction can be an embarrassing affair as you admit to losing control of yourself to a substance or behavior and when the addiction is as taboo as masturbation and pornography it can be very difficult to get help from other people. Self help for internet porn addiction therefore is something that porn addicts desperately need to fight back against this psychological addition to the adult entertainment industry and to the rampant demands of their own libido.

Unlike going to a therapy center or using chemical replacement aides like some addictions overcoming porn addiction relies on understanding of your own mental state and above all, willpower. An overview of some of the main points of self help for porn addiction include:

Out of sight, out of mind.
The ease of finding pornography on the internet is astounding and so feeds addiction because it is so easy to get. To combat this you need to sit down at your PC while you are in a quitting mood (like now!) and delete all of your porn on your hard drive, delete all of your site histories, clear out your cache as well then delete any bookmarks of saved porn sites. Start clean and to stay clean install an adult site filter so you do not stumble upon porn sites accidentally and get drawn in that way.

Understand your addiction
Most addictions stem from a base psychological reason. Perhaps you are sexually frustrated or perhaps you have been doing it for so long it has become a habit you cannot live without (an orgasm addict) or maybe it stems from depression or anxiety and a need for release. Everyone is different but the only way to move forward is to understand this reason honestly so you do not blame the porn but instead know your weakness so you can act on it.

Motivation, Mindset and redirecting sexual energy
This is the hard bit but it can be done despite the sirens call of pornography. If you have your reasons to be free of internet porn addiction and a knowledge of why you are so hooked you are half way there and you just need a plan and a way to stay motivated along with a way to divert sexual energy to more productive things.

To find a complete guide to self help for internet porn addiction click below to discover how to be free of the world of smut for better sexual health, better relationships and more time to do thins that bring you joy not empty thrills.
